Orchids

Those of you who follow my goings on, on facebook will know I've been laid up for just over a week now with terrible back problems. I'm afraid I am still suffering but it's interesting the positions a person can get themselves into trying to work comfortably.

This week a couple of commissions have lead to 2 new flowers being added to the webshop.

There is now an Orchid Collection amongst the many collections of different flowers, and I will be adding some french lavender to the Summer Flowers this week.

I don't know about yourselves but I adore Lavender and Roses together in a garden. Can't you just imagine it all.

My thanks as always to hubby Mark who is picking up the slack around the house while I'm off my feet and of course for keeping me in clean beading pins love you sparky xx

I have White Poppies to add this week as well as re stocking the crazy daisies.

That's all for now folks

I feel like I haven't stopped this week. I guess having the children back at school and Mark out at work during the day has given me more clay time and the ideas are certainly flowing. I hope that the butterflies have been enjoyed as much as I'm enjoying making them. I have been making more jewellery lately as my confidence begins to return.

I've just listed some more foxglove beads and I have Lilies waiting for the varnish to dry before I can list them.

There will be pink starburst lilies this week and I think they look amazing.

I've written my list of beads I need to turn my attention to, and hope to have the shop stocked up soon.

If you don't see what you need in stock please let me know.

Can you believe it's nearly June already? I don't know where the last 6 months have gone.

I'm still keeping very busy trying to keep the polymer clay beads in stock for you all. I have added some new flowers this week, the crazy daisies and the new Butterfly collection.

I've also started making jewellery again so please feel free to check out the jewellery for sale on the website and on Etsy.

This years Chelsea flower show has been a huge inspiration and I'm adding to the Iris collection this evening, my irises are in bloom in the front of the house and look so magnificent it's hard not to be inspired by them.

I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine and making the most of the weather.

I'm hoping that Spring is finally arriving. The snowdrops are out in full bloom and I'm sure the daffodils won't be too far behind them. Here's hoping anyway. What a long Winter we've had it's been a difficult few months and thank you to everyone who has been patient with me.

I have made a few small changes to the website. Firstly the home page which is now sporting it's new look and has a beautiful picture of a rose from Mum's garden. Thank you Mum for allowing to use your flowers as my inspiration.

Also the new mni cart. This should appear on the left hand side of all the shop pages. making it easier for you to see what's in your basket. I'm trying to make your shopping experience on the site pleasurable and I know that being able to see what is already in your basket is a huge help.

There is also a users poll on the homepage. please feel free to vote.

Hello everyone,

Well life here is returning to some normality, thank you everyone for your support.

There are plans afoot for some new roses Carol has had a sneek peek and has given me her thumbs up. Thank you Carol I do appreciate your input. I have been asked also to add the orange september roses to the store as a regular fixture by a few of you so they will be making a return in one form or another.

I am trying my best to get the stock levels up and know I have been neglecting the clay.Forget me not, sunflowers and roses will be my priority this week.

Congratulations Nicky for your wonderful article in Making Jewellery, I hope one day you will show me how to make something wonderful from the artclay silver.

I also want to wish my sister a speedy recovery as she has been unwell this week. Get well soon Jude xx

Thanks for reading

Barrettes Barrettes and more Barrettes

Morning all, as I type Vicki and Keiara are having a battle on Facebook over the newest addition to the website, Barrettes.

I love hair clips and I'm always trying to find some that co ordinate with my flower jewellery.

Mark said why don't you just make some, so that's what I've done.

If you also share my love of hair clips and don't see the flower you'd like feel free to email me I can let you know when I'll be adding them to the store.

If you'd like to keep up with which beads are being made and any new ones that will be added a good place to find out is on Facebook I usually add pictures and details there before I list.

The children just have this week left at school then the holidays can begin.

I hope you all have a fantastic Summer.

I'd like to wish Nathan my youngest flower customer a speedy recovery, I hope you up and around and annoying Mum asap.

That's all for now

Changes afoot!!!!

Hello all,

As the title suggests there are changes afoot here on the website. I've finally had a good root around all the sections and have made some changes that I hope will make shopping more of a pleasure. I hope you also like the new background, it's one of Mark's pictures of my detailed poppies. I'm sure most of you will have seen it on the postcards I usually put in with your orders. I've been making a concerted effort to stock up and today I have had a purple day. The school holidays are approaching and I've started on my teacher thank you presents for the teachers at Riley's nursery school. Riley goes to Infant school in September which will mean more time for beads for me :o)

I've added Claire's picture to the customers' gallery, the rose raiders haven't emailed me any pictures yet. So V time to stop relaxing in your Kaftan and snap some piccies for me and Nicky now your sunburn is better I'm sure you can manage a picture or two for me.

I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine.

Good evening everybody, I hope that you are all enjoying the sunshine.

It's a little chilly here, but I'm donning a cardi to keep warm.

The Rose Raisers aka (Vickie & Nicky) pointed out I haven't rambled for a while.

No excuses I just haven't felt well enough to tinker with the website, I have been concentrating on adding new flowers and new colours. However I will be revamping the site next month as some sections are far too long and others don't have nearly enough in them.

For all my wonderful customers out there, thank you for supporting my move from ebay to my own website. September will be the website's anniversary and there will be some freebies given away with some orders in September.

I'd also like to thank everyone who has emailed me pictures of their work with my flowers, I love seeing them used so beautifully, so please do email me more pictures.

To my two Rose Raiding Imps, You've done a lot of raiding but not much picture taking !!!

That's all for now, Happy Beading

After a small break I'm back trying to restock the store. I'm hoping you all had a good Easter and now that Daffodils and Bluebells are blossoming you like are feeling more inclined to play with the beadies again.

Appologies again for this bi-monthly blog update. It's been a difficult month and now May is just over the horizon I'm feeling more positive and able to concentrate on the clay again.

I'd like to say a huge thank you to Michelle and Paul for putting up with me at the Thoresby show it was lovely to meet up and I hope to meet up with you both again at the Newark show.

I've just put some more beads in stock including the Gerbera's and added only 4 Bright Pink Gerbera's. They are very bright. I will add pictures later tomorrow.

Happy beading everyone

Hello everyone.

Huge appologies that it's been 2 months since my last update. I can only say that the round of Birthdays, Christmas and us all coming down with the lurgey has held me up. The last of the Birthday's is today so while the Birthday boy (Mark) gets his lie in I can update you all.

Since the Bead magazine profile came out the shop has struggled to stay even half full. Thank you all for your continued support. I am now slowly getting on top of the stock levels and there are very few flowers that are out of stock. I hope to bring them into stock this week.

With all the snow and school snow days the children have been home a couple of days in the last week. Thankfully they are both going to school today and Mark and I will be out for lunch. Celebrating our 20 anniversary of our blind date!

Back to work though this afternoon with the Black and White daisies top of my list to get in stock.

I will be attacking the roses this week as I know so many of you love them. With Debs trying to control the spending of my two shop emptying elves (Nicky & Vickie) the roses may stay in stock for a little longer this time.

Huge congratulations to Michelle my dear friend who will be in an upcoming issue of Vogue well done you!!

Keep those pictures coming in I love seeing your work.

Happy February

Hello everyone,

Just a quick update today to say thank you to everyone that has emailed and wished me a Happy Birthday. I've had a wonderful day so far and the children and Mark are spoiling me.

The flower beads will be updated as they are made I don't ever intend to list things for sale that aren't ready to pop in the post for you.. As I expect you are like me in that when you buy something you would like it there as soon as is possible.

The new roses are slowly making it into the shop and I will be adding new Swarovski roses as soon as I can, but Mark in his wisdom has said no adding new flowers to the collections until the shop is stocked with the favourites. He knows best.

All that remains for me to say is have a wonderful festive season and I hope you all get what you wish for and that the presents you give are appreciated.

Riley's birthday is the day after New Years day so we have celebrations for another 2 weeks.

Elise x

Hello all,

It's been a busy couple of weeks since the profile was in Bead magazine. Welcome to all my new customers and thank you to everyone that has emailed to say how much they enjoyed reading about me. I'm slowly getting back on trach with the beads, I've been a little under the weather and I wish I could say i was feeling 100% now but the cold and sore throat are hanging on to make themselves known.

We had a lovely weekend down in Somerset visiting our family and dear friends Nick & Sharon and Lucy & Martin. A huge thankyou to Martin for making my little guy so happy, Riley was allowed to steer the tractor that Martin was driving. Riley was grinning from ear to ear. I think he thought Christmas had come early.

I'm adding to stock levels this week, if Nicky and Vickie can keep their hands off the mouse. Today I have added more of the ultra roses ( I love them) and some Narcissus. I have Forget me not's on my table waiting to be finished so I would be expecting to add them tomorrow.

Montanna is 12 next week I can't believe how quickly the last 12 years have gone. She has asked me to design her a birthday rose, I have some ideas so hopefully will reveal the new rose next week.

Ok enough rambling for today.

Hello everyone,

It's been over a month now since my last entry in the blog and I'm sorry for being so late with an update. I've been experimenting with the amazing new glitters that Emma J Ralph has for sale on her website (see links page) They have given me some amazing results and I will be adding the flowers I've made with them to the Roses Collection when they are ready for sale. That is if Nicky and Vickie haven't nabbed them all before I get the time to list them.

My profile will be in this months Bead magazine and a scary picture of me awaits you there.

Mark has put together a group on facebook where we can all get together and exchange pictures and chat. Thank you sweet heart for doing that for me. You can see the group or join us by clicking the link on the top of the links page.

I would still love to be able to add any of your work with my flowers on to the customer album you just need to email me the picture and a little description of the piece.

I hope you all have a good November

Elise x

Well, it's been a busy week here. Michelle my dear dear friend has me working on her 'Largish' order and it's keeping me busy, and my clay supplier busy too.

I have been also experimenting with a few non flower items for Christmas and hope to have them listed in the shop sometime this week.

My profile for Bead magazine has had it's proof read and should be in the next issue. So, all you lovely ladies will be able to see just who is making these flowers for you. Scary huh?

Back to the gym this week, I've been naughty and not been for more than a week and it's time to bite the bullet and head back there.

I hope that you all have a wonderful week.

Elise x

Hello everyone,

You'll all be pleased to hear that we had a fantastic time at the wedding this weekend. The journey home was a nightmare though. Who decided to dig up the Bristol Dock bridge? It held us up for a while and the children certainly got restless. My new chair has arrived and I'm like a queen on a throne so much happier than I was when my other chair died. The flowers should start filling the shop (that is the plan) I've added some sets for the floral collar that Jennifer designed. There are also some more red roses in the shop today. I know you are all getting ready for the C word so I shall make some more Poinsettias and Holly & Ivy leaves this week too. Anyway, enough chat I have to make a mercy mission to school as Montanna has forgotten her study guide then I shall get back to the red clay.
